About the company

Amitan was founded in 2001 by brother and sister team Richard and Judith Hearne with grant aid from Kildare County Enterprise Board. Amitan operates from modern purpose-built kitchen facilities of the highest specifications as certified by the South Western Area Health Board.

Who Are We?

Judith Hearne

Judith brings an extensive catering background to Amitan. Judith studied Catering Management at DIT, and subsequently worked with a number of the largest catering companies in Ireland. She has day-to-day responsibility for operational activity, and is the friendly face and voice of Amitan.

Richard Hearne

Richard is responsible for the online marketing of Amitan. Richard has a background in business and technology, and can ususally be found running his primary business – Red Cardinal Ltd. – which offers Search Engine Optimisation services to some of Ireland’s largest online brands. Richard spends much of his time in Phuket where he runs a Phuket car rental business CarHirePhuket.com with car hire deals for Phuket Airport and other locations from 5 Phuket car rental companies.
