Celebrating 60 years of The People’s Republic of China with H.E. Mr. Liu Biwei and 200 guests at The Helix, DCU Dublin.

October 1 is the day Chine celebrates its nationhood, and this year the Embassy of The People’s Republic Of China in Ireland held a fantastic event here in Dublin to mark 60th Anniversary of the People’s Republic of China.

This year’s celebration was hosted by His Excellency Mr. Liu Biwei, Chinese Ambassador to Ireland, and representing the Irish Government was Education Minister Batt O’Keefe. The event was attended by over 200 guests who arrived at The Helix in DCU to celebrate China’s National Day.

Amitan were delighted to provide the catering services for the event, and the party-goers enjoyed a fantastic variety of our hand-made canapés and finger foods. We’re a little late adding this news item, but TV3 officially launched their new Autumn TV schedule at the Button Factory in Dublin City Center. Over 350 guests, TV personalities, actors and VIPs partied in the former Temple Bar Music Center to celebrate the launch. You can see some images of the event over on the Dublin Blog.

Well done TV3 for throwing such a great party, and we were really delighted to play a very small part on the night. We’re delighted to release our new website design. With a lot of thought, and not a small amount of love and passion, we’ve designed and developed the latest iteration of our online presence. As with any new website there are bound to be some issues, and we’d very much apprecaite if you could let us know if you come across any oddities, or experience any difficulties using our site.

As a small company we’ve managed to be quite nimble online. In fact, we generate a large share of all new customer leads through our website. Not quite as large as WOM (Word Of Mouth), but the web is a very important channel to us.

We’ve worked hard to make the site easy to navigate, and hopefully you’ll find the information you need quickly. We’re also going to work hard at updating and adding to our content regularly with new canapés, menus, news and recipes. Yep, that’s right – we’ll shortly be adding recipes to the site so that you can prepare and enjoy some of the finest canapés made by your own hand.

We’d really love to hear what you think of the new site – good or bad – as we really want to our virtual business to work as well as the real thing.
